Climax took ownership for some of Crackdown 3’s biggest boss fights. A dedicated team of artists, designers and programmers was formed to improve these boss fights and take them to a level where they could be successfully signed off by the game’s publisher – Microsoft.
The design team at Climax redesigned the arenas from scratch and worked on the fight logic and balancing. Following the game’s strict art style already set out by Sumo, Climax’s art team took the levels to final quality and ready for sign off. The team’s programmers would oversee the logic Blueprints to ensure the game was running optimally and that only safe and solid content would be submitted directly into the game’s main branch.
